hey today was sweet, i love snowboarding, ringette was kinda lame, but i showed all those winter games ringette girls up with my awesome goalie abilities haha i was supposed to go to a show tonight at the waverly but i dont have any energy left, so im just gonna chill for the rest of the evening. nothin planned so far for tomorrow cheers

so i did a test shot for my advertising photo that im going to do tomorrow, (which is my shoe) and michelle and i went to the skatepark to shoot some skateboarders, it was pretty cool, followed by an evening of jazz, sounds pretty good to me :)

portraiture tomorrow, dont rly know how thats gonna be but we will find out :)

Rushing waters

got my oil changed today so i went to the mall and checked out photo annuals for snowboarding and skateboarding haha i suppose that was fun.

this shot is a cup with water rushing out of the top of it if you couldnt tell. apparently im playing ringette tomorrow :S we'll see how that goes haha.

ohh today i also went grocery shopping, yay for food.

feeling quite lazy and not in the mood for typing, can ya tell?

i got new, used snowboard boots today from craigs list, pretty sweet eh, plus they are black, red and grey, which i love :)

hope to get out snowboarding again sometime this week because nights are only 26 bucks so i might as well eh.

Turn nothing into something

hey

went out with john today, we went pretty far up north, almost to port mcneil, it was pretty cool, hes a pretty cool guy. didnt really see much that was super exciting and i was totally bummed about not going to mt washington, but oh well. hockey was good, cept i didnt get any shots for the last fifteen minutes, so i was basically falling asleep in the crease haha. oh just in case you were wondering, that is snow falling!!!! YAY that means more snow at mt washington, which makes me quite happy

not a damn thing planned for tomorrow, and i wouldnt have it any other way :)

Welcome to the family

Hey so

today was pretty sweet did alot of shooting, and at the show i went to i tried out something new, i bounced flash off the ceiling(which ive never done before) as well as i tried out my 28mm lens also which ive never used!! it was pretty dang sweet

going up to mt washington tomorrow to shoot some snowboarding action, it should be fun, John is coming with me.

distortion

Hey

did some crazy stuff in school today, we learned how to distort our film negatives into crazy freakin' photos. it was fun, you basically handled them like hell, and they turn out cool.

went snowboarding at mount washington today, and it was also a blast, i was the only one signed up for lessons so i got a private lesson sweet eh? also i think i am hooked, night skiing is only 25 bucks so i will definitely be out there more often :)

still trying to find a mentor, for tonight ill be emailing some more people hopefully, as well as messing around with photoshop just because that is fun :)

i was going to go to jazz night but i just feel worn out and my legs are tired, and i really am lacking in the inspiration department as of right now hahah, going to a concert in lantzville tomorrow, it should be a blast :) oh, for all you harry potter fans out there, check out the sweet scar on my dudes forhead ;)

hey

so about a million people made comments about how much they liked my hat today
i went up to mt. washington to hopefully shoot some snowboarders or skiers
but i felt like i needed to talk about the hat haha. so here it is, a bit of a tough shot to take, but i dealt with it nonetheless haha

takin' snowboarding lessons on thursday, for the 3rd time haha, i hope i dont die :)

hockey practice tomorrow, concert friday :)

allstar game

hey

so i went to campbell river today to watch the allstar game for the vancouver island hockey leauge, it was pretty good, team south (not the white team) won 6-4. some awesome goals were scored and lots of cheering fans etc, it was fun!

tonight im doing some photojournalism, then just chilling out, it was a great weekend :)

im excited for photojournalism tomorrow, i really love that class. also i have a concert im going to on friday night in lantzville, and i work tomorrow night! woo!!!

Jazz Hands

hockey went well today, right when hockey was over i got a call from an 'A' team in victoria and they asked me if i wanted to go to provincials with them, so provincials i go, hell ya, plus i get to play some awesome hockey!!!!!! so excited
provincials are in march. i have 2 hockey games this weekend, playing port alberni again, and i cant remember who the other game is against.

went to jazz night tonight and the dude let me creep around stage, so i got this shot, i love jazz night so much haha its the highlight of my thursday for sure. this shot needs to be fixed a touch in photoshop, which i will eventually do, i just dont have photoshop at home, dangggg

michelle went home to nanaimo today ill, i feel bad for her, thankfully she didnt miss much in class though haha

so we did a "traditional" portrait for portraiture today after school
and i must say... it is not my style at all

im quite bored today and have close to nothing to do
mind you i could be writing up a proposal for my photo essay
i just havent thought of anything i want to shoot yet, oh well

anyone suggest anything for me to do?

so im having cereal for supper and it is freaking awesome!
i love cereal so freakin' much, i could eat it for every meal

and yes, i know the milk looks a touch like its going to fall over
but im too lazy to fix that and i dont much wanna use a tripod haha

tried out my flash, i think im gonna start using it more often this week
juss so i can understand it more :)

hockey was good tonight, we won 7-1 and i let a complete fluke goal in :P

for this shot i wanted to take a photo of my hand print, but i only had pancake mix
to work with and it didnt work out the way i wanted it to, so i had to improvise :)

i will try the finger/hand print shot out some other day when i have ink or something better than pancake mix to work with :)

Lazy

hey

after today, and seeing that my teacher is only 22, ive noticed that i need to live in the times and quit thinking about the future so much. She opened her own studio at 20. and is living the life i want to live, and i figure i can live that life if i really stick to my goals. It just takes alot of marketing(which i already have) and promotional things, as well as determination :). for tonight im feeling lazy and want to show you a photo i took yesterday that truly inspires me :)

I think im heading up to mt. washington tomorrow to check out an "avalanche awareness" day that has a silent auction, and i wanna try to get some killer snowboarding photos, or atleast sign up for snowboarding lessons again haha... i fail at snowboarding but i always want to learn :)

What a day

heyy

today was great, i went out and shot a hobo (tommy, who is super cool and plays a sweet guitar), a member of the courtenay camera club (rick, hes cool too, he shoots a nikon), i shot a boxing club (they were all super intense and awesome), and i shot a jazz concert that rocked my world :)

but thru all the awesome photos i took today i chose to show you a picture of my pal
ainsley because i also love this photo :)

what a fantastic day :)

Getting the Wheels rolling

Hey
back again, in bc ready for another great semester.
our first class was photojournalism, and it was awesome i must say!!
our instructor is into snowboarding and sports photos, which is super
cool because after looking at ski press over the holidays i am considering
a job like that. He works for Whistler-Blackcomb.
anyways, i took this photo hoping i could cast huge, impactful shadows
on the sides of the skateboard wheels
but it turned out like this, and its quite intense :)
